But if you’re like most entrepreneurs, your website isn’t exactly delivering quality leads to your inbox every month.
And this honestly breaks my lil web designer heart because I know first hand the kind of change a high-converting website can create for your business – meaning more clients in the door and more projects on the books.
So today I wanted to share with you the main reason your website isn’t helping you find new clients. Ready to get started? Let’s dive in!
There are many ingredients to a high-converting website that helps you find new clients and book more projects, but today I want to talk about the strategy that gets overlooked the most – marketing your website consistently.
Marketing your website consistently is ESSENTIAL if you want to increase your reach and find new clients.
You could have the most BEAUTIFUL website in the world, but if you aren’t pointing people towards it then you aren’t going to get more people on it.
So how exactly do you do that?
In order to attract more of your ideal clients to your website, there are three main ways – paid advertising, organic marketing, and a consistent SEO strategy.
Let’s take a look at each of these.
1. Paid advertising (like Google Ads) gets more visitors to your site via a pay to click method. This strategy works, but it requires more of a financial investment.
2. Organic marketing, aka promoting your website on your social media channels and other marketing avenues (like podcast interviews, networking events, ec) also helps get more visitors to your website, grow your social media channels, and helps your site turn up in search results. Tip: Check out this blog post about how to create consistent content for your website and use it on your social media channels.
3. And last, but not least, implementing a consistent SEO Strategy will also help you turn up in search results and find your ideal clients. However, SEO isn’t an overnight fix or a set it and forget it solution. In order for SEO to work well, you need to have an SEO Strategy that you consistently implement over at least 3-6 months to start seeing results.
Okay, these all sound good, but where do I start?
Start by committing to market your website consistently each week, then create a plan to follow that helps you do that.
Don’t worry! I wrote a blog post on exactly how to do this: How To Create Consistent Content + Market Your Website
