Why You Shouldn’t DIY Your Website

by | Web Design

I grew up with a dad who was always doing projects. His brain is basically YouTube before YouTube existed.

I learned a lot from him as an entrepreneur. To be persistent, don’t get discouraged when things are hard, and that you can always figure things out if you work at it hard enough.

I’m all for a good DIY – in fact, that’s how I first learned to code! However, there comes a time as a business owner when you simply can’t keep juggling all. the. hats. I’ve been there! I remember when I made my first hire and how amazing it was to get a few things off my plate.

Doing it yourself is a great way to learn new skills and get things done cheaply. But that doesn’t mean it’s always in the best interest of your business to cut corners.

You may end up with poor results and having to pay for someone to fix it in the long run.

Investing in a custom website design that is strategically built to help you find more clients and book more projects could be a total GAMEchanger for your life and biz.

It saves you time AND money

When you work with a web designer you’re benefiting from their years of experience and expertise. They’ve been there and done that so you don’t have to make the same mistakes over and over again. Instead of having to teach yourself how to code in your “spare time” (I put that in quotes because as an entrepreneur who really has spare time lol) you’re saving massive amounts of time by hiring a designer to do a professional job rather than wasting hours upon hours troubleshooting tech and trying to figure it out on your own.

You won’t have to settle for “eh, that’s good enough”

One you find the best web designer for you (here are some tips on how to do that) you can rest easy knowing their goal is to give you the website of your dreams (and if it’s not, they’re probably not a good fit). That means you won’t have to settle for a website that simply works but doesn’t really communicate your brand or generate inquiries.

Often times, when you’re DIYing a website and you’ve never built a website before, you end up settling for “that’s good enough” or “at least it works”. That is not how we want you to present your business! Working with a web designer means you can be sure that your vision will come to life collaboratively and you’re EXCITED to launch your new website into the world.

Your new website will go up faster and easier

Now that you’re not troubleshooting tech and spending hours learning how to build a website, you’ll be able to launch your new site faster than ever before. When you have a web designer’s experience at your fingertips, the whole process goes by smoothly and efficiently.

You don’t have to spend time researching all the options to determine which one is the best solution for you

As a business owner myself, I understand how important it is to make intentional investments in your business. I can take a ton of time to do your research on which web design solutions are best for your biz, and sometimes you’re not even sure what features or functionalities you are looking for!

Are you ready for a website the helps you increase
